Ingress Park
Perimeter walls fences gates and hedges often fall under the aegis of the architect. At Ingress Park, now a housing estate, the repair and replacement of the perimeter Grade II listed walls and fences is conditional on planning approval. Archaeologists recorded the taking down of the old structures where that was necessary, and new gates were designed from historic documentary evidence and fragments on site. Cast iron work will be a feature of this restoration.
