Introduction

Murray John's practice was established in 1979. Our principals trained under some of the most innovative architects of our generation and have collaborated with leading practitioners in historic building and church conservation, retail shop-fitting and ‘branding’, new housing, interior and furniture design.

All members of the practice have first-hand experience of building trades, obtaining consents, compliance with current standards, contract administration and controlling the cost of projects.

Our conservation work is based on a sound academic knowledge of architectural history coupled with a broad understanding of traditional building practices and craft-based trades. Our contemporary design focuses on providing rational, appropriate responses to our clients' needs.
