Lamb’s Conduit Street

The bones of this early 18th century house had lost for a century under layers of plasterboard and wallpapers. Discovering ‘lost’ panelling was a joy and very unexpected, as the windows had been rebuilt in the later 18th century. Colours from ‘archaeological’ scrapes were adjusted to enhance the characters of the rooms. There was no evidence of the original fireplaces, so we designed them (a little freely!) and built them.
