Peter House, Braithwaite, Cumbria
This new house was intended to be a conversion of an old bakery. Unfortunately, its condition was poor. Conservation was difficult and so the tiny new house was built on the footprint of the old one. In this region, houses are rendered and the functional farm buildings left bare fieldstone, so we left the stone exposed to distinguish it from the small listed building to which it is attached.
