This solar collector supplements the house's water heating and more than mitigates the impact of the well insulated garden room extension seen below. We are keen to advise about alternative sources of energy to improve the performance of existing buildings.
The most effective and economical ways of reducing energy consumption are to insulate roofs, walls and floors, and to control ventilation. We automatically specify this in all our projects, and normally to a higher standard than required under building regulations.
Measures such as replanting gardens with edible species, and integrating waste and composting management devices into the design of kitchens, backyards and bin stores, can be easily incorporated into all projects.
