Model room, Sir John Soane’s Museum
Soane’s extraordinary collection of models had been recorded and catalogued but few were on public display. We made sketches of each model, and assembled them in sets according to their function and size. Finally, we commissioned pieces of furniture for each, including the ‘roof-racks’ that were made so that Soane’s roof trusses and structures could be seen against the open air from below, as he had originally intended.
