Stone survey, Ingress Abbey Orangery
Bill Dare measured individual stones and pieced together this reconstruction for Mott Graves Projects. The drawing is testament to his skill and understanding of stonemason’s jointing and geometry, and shows a confident style. Drawings such as this one would be passed to the mason’s yard for manufacture, though this work is now often reproduced onto cutting programmes in computers.
